Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 6, 2026 · This Privacy Policy explains what data Blue Readings Live collects, why, who it's shared with, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the platform, you consent to the practices described here.

What we collect

Account data (all users): email address, password (hashed — we never see it), display name, phone number, date of account creation, IP address, device/browser info, and the timestamp/version of the Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted at signup.

Wallet & payments (clients): top-up history, wallet balance, and the last 4 digits / card brand returned by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank account number — those go directly to the payment processor.

Advisor verification (advisors only): legal name, government-issued ID or driver's license, Social Security Number (US) or Tax ID, date of birth, and bank/payout details. This information is collected to comply with US tax law (1099-NEC reporting), anti-fraud rules, and to verify you are an adult human eligible to be paid. It is stored encrypted and only accessed by the platform owner or our payment/tax processor for payout/tax purposes.

Activity data: readings you book, calls/texts/signals you send, messages you post, gifts sent, advisors you follow, reviews you leave, and time-stamps of these events.

Voice & live recordings: phone calls placed through the platform are routed in real time and may be recorded for safety, dispute resolution, and quality review. Live streams may be recorded by the platform. By placing a call or going live you consent to these recordings.

AI conversations: chats with AI personas are processed by our AI providers and stored for safety and product-improvement purposes.

How we use your data

  • To run the service — log you in, route calls, deliver messages, pay advisors, hold funds in your wallet.
  • To verify identity and age (18+) for both clients and advisors.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, chargebacks, and underage use.
  • To resolve disputes, refunds, and safety reports.
  • To comply with US tax law and respond to lawful government requests.
  • To send you transactional email (account, payments, advisor responses) and — only with your explicit opt-in — marketing email.
  • To improve features and train internal AI safety filters. We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share data with

We share the minimum data needed with trusted service providers under strict confidentiality agreements:

  • Our payment processor — payment processing, advisor identity verification, payouts, and tax (1099) reporting.
  • Our voice & telephony provider — placing and recording voice calls between clients and advisors.
  • Our AI providers — generating AI voice intros, warnings, goodbye prompts, and AI persona chat responses.
  • Our hosting, database & authentication provider — securely storing your account, content, and files.
  • Email/SMS delivery providers — to send you transactional notifications.
  • Law enforcement — only when required by valid legal process, or to protect a person from imminent harm.

Advisors only see the public profile information clients choose to share (display name, photo, messages they send). Clients only see the public profile of advisors.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.

Cookies & local storage

We use first-party cookies and browser local storage strictly for: keeping you signed in, remembering your wallet/session state, preserving your audio/notification preferences, and basic, privacy-respecting product analytics. We do not run third-party ad-tracking cookies.

How we protect your data

Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed. Sensitive verification data (ID images, SSN, bank info) is held by our payment processor under industry-standard PCI-DSS / SOC 2 compliance — not on our own servers. Database access is restricted by row-level security so users can only read their own data. Admin access is limited to the platform owner.

No system is 100% secure. If a breach affects you, we will notify you and any required regulator within the timeframes set by applicable law.

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live (US state privacy laws, GDPR, etc.), you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data (you can edit most of it from your profile/studio settings).
  • Delete your account and associated personal data — except records we are legally required to keep (tax records, transaction logs, safety records, anti-fraud records).
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Opt out of marketing email at any time via the unsubscribe link.
  • Withdraw consent for optional processing.

Data retention

We keep account and activity data for as long as your account is active. After deletion, we retain only what's needed for tax compliance (typically 7 years for payment/payout records), legal defense, and abuse-prevention records (typically up to 3 years). Call recordings are kept for up to 90 days for safety review and then deleted unless flagged in an open dispute.

No minors — 18+ only

Blue Readings Live is strictly for users 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to a minor, we will immediately delete the account and all associated data. Parents/guardians who believe a minor has registered may email us to request immediate removal.

International users

Blue Readings Live is operated from the United States. If you access the platform from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the platform, you consent to this transfer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
